Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SmallFolks Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our mobile applications and this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

By using any of our apps or this website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who we are

SmallFolks Studio is an independent app development studio based in Istanbul, Turkey, operating as a sole proprietor. We build iOS and iPadOS applications distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

2. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little data as possible. Depending on the app you use, we may collect:

• Account information — such as name or email address, only when you explicitly create an account or sign in.
• Usage data — anonymous, aggregated information about how you use the app (e.g. which features are used) to help us improve the experience. This data does not identify you personally.
• Crash reports — technical information sent when an app crashes, used solely for debugging. This may include device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Purchase information — if you make an in-app purchase, payment is processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, microphone or camera data unless a specific feature explicitly requires it and you have granted permission.

3. How we use your information

Any information we collect is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the functionality of our apps
• Fix bugs and improve performance
• Respond to your support requests
• Process in-app subscriptions or purchases (via Apple or Google)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described here.

4. Third-party services

Our apps may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

• Apple App Store / Google Play — for app distribution and in-app purchases
• Firebase (Google) — for authentication and data storage in certain apps. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — for managing in-app subscriptions. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog — for anonymous product analytics. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Not all third-party services are used in every app. Each app's App Store or Play Store listing will specify which services are in use.

5. Data sharing and selling

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in Section 4 (third-party services used to operate the app), or as required by applicable law.

6. Data retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account within an app, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
